Ash Wednesday was 3 weeks ago and would seem to be before or around the time the first cases were popping up in New York. Hopefully everyone is fine.

Update: The lady who was an EM who had COVID 19 died from it. There is another couple, husband and wife, in my parish now, who are also struggling with it.
