7 year old sister receiving the Eucharist

Hello. I have a sister who is almost 8, and she did her first Communion a few weeks ago. I know she is now past the age of reason, but I still feel she is too little to understand at least the basics of what the Eucharist is. She likes going up to receive, and she has done it the past few Masses. I mean, i’ve explained a bit, and I guess maybe it takes time and this is normal for her age, but, any advice on how to explain, perhaps? Or anything else that would help. Thanks, and God bless!

This develops over time. It’s important that she stays in formation.
Keep reminding her that Jesus come to her, personally in the Eucharist, and don’t fret.
