I know exactly what that little girl is going through. Many many years go when I was making my First Communion I couldn’t make my first confession with my peers because my baptismal certificate didn’t get to my parish in time. Luckily for me it came in the mail late that Saturday afternoon after the others went to confession so I had to go to the rectory face to face with the priest. I was nervous anyway but this made it worse. Looking back at it I realize I didn’t really have anything bad to confess but in my little mind I was a demon. I was able to make my First Communion the next day with the rest of the kids.
