Hi folks, long time CA member, I have a prayer request… My 84 year old mom is in the hospital, recovering from a really bad infection, In a few days, they’ll take the breathing tube out and she’ll either pass away if her lungs can’t handle the stress, or she’ll get to go home on hospice with my 85 year old dad, to live her last days at home. She is a living Saint, sweetest, kindest woman you’d ever meet. Please pray for her during her remaining days on this earth. We’re praying she stays strong enough to come back home for her last days. Thank you!

My dear patron Fathers, who greatly helped me during my surgery and recovery, please pray for this woman.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death
Amen.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (thechrismyster’s Mother). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into thechrismyster’s Mother’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

May Christ Who was crucified for your sake
free you from excruciating pain.
May Christ Who died for you
free you from the death that never ends.
May Christ the Son of the living God,
set you in the ever green loveliness of His Paradise,
and may He, the true Shepherd
recognize you as one of His own.
May you see your Redeemer face to face
and standing in His presence forever,
may you see with joyful eyes
Truth revealed in all its fullness.

Amen.

Your mom sounds like she’s a lovely lady. Praying for you all, I sincerely hope that she is able to return home.

Update: She survived the breathing tube removal. Now there has been a twist, ever since the removal they’ve had her on morphine, all day drip, she has good vitals but is completely unresponsive because of the morphine… We signed her to hospice so she could have ‘dignity’ … When I went to the hospital today, i saw she was still unresponsive, on morphine with no food or water, IV stand was empty…Talking to her Dr, the plan of action was to keep her on morphine to make her ‘comfortable’, and only give her food or water if she asked, but since she’s completely unresponsive on morphine, she can’t ask. So the nurse said she’d be unresponsive and in no pain until the dehydration killer her in a week.I asked the doctor how their plan isn’t considered euthanasia, and she said “it just isn’t” … We want her to have a natural death, the hospital doesn’t see how morphine to keep them sedated combined with no food or water is actively participating in her death. Worst part is, Drs say this is common. The culture of death made itself known to me today. We had the doctor stop the morphine, she woke up and is eating ice chips and drinking water. At least to give her a chance. But thanks for the prayers for the breathing tube removal, there miraculously were no complications or problems. The worst part is the family members who say “Its easier on everyone just to let her go”… no! You can’t help people die. and its scary how its become accepted.

Thank for the update. Still asking my patron-Fathers to pray for her and family.
