Me too! I guess I’ll pray the Rosary at 9 AM on election day.
We need to pray that people will vote with character as well as with their conscience. Our political system depends on an honest and trustworthy system. Dishonesty at the individual level now abounds, and sadly it is admired for being “clever” and “justified”. Honesty is for dopes.
There is such dishonesty at the individual level nowadays during this election. There are now apps to facilitate inter-state “vote swapping” schemes. While legal, it’s dishonest. Local organizations encourage people to pose as and register with the party they oppose during primary elections in order to elect weak candidates, easily defeatable by the party the voter really supports, while not illegal, are dishonest.
Add to it the lies and schemes we find out weekly in the press about the two leading presidential candidates and the dishonesty is headspinning. I am sorry to see so many people are not even aware that what in their mind appears to be striking a blow for the goals and candidates they value is dishonesty.
