My daughter (19 yrs) was raped 24 hours ago. She just told me tonight…

She’s very scared, frightened, and showing signs of post traumatic stress disorder. She will see a doctor today, and soon she will see a priest. It’s my prayer she’ll find a devout catholic professional counselor. Her Doctor is Pro Life - I’m confident he will guide us on the police report, and help us find a wise (catholic) counselor.

As her mother I do not feel safe the rapist is on the streets. It’s frightening knowing he’s on the loose. I don’t feel safe in my own home. He knows where we live…

I’m also very angry at the man who chose to rape my daughter. After the rape, he’s calling my daughter on the phone threatening her.

I will set up a professional support team for my daughter & for our family.

I’m asking you to pray to Blessed Mother–the highest saint–for the complete healing of my daughter. She will console us, comfort us, and give us wisdom.

I offer all my sufferings, to Jesus through Mary, for reparation of my sins, for souls furthest away from God, for the conversion of their souls, so God may be magnified and glorified in our midst. I also pray for the man who raped my daughter, that he will find a holy priest, receive our Lord Jesus in the holy eucharist, and experience a full conversion.

Our Lord Jesus Christ is always good and very kind. I really trust Him, but I’m in tears…

Lord God Almighty, I pray for this daughter. Please touch her with Your mighty healing power so that she may restored to good health in body, mind and spirit. Ease her suffering and her pain and her fear. Protect, guard and guide her from further harm and torment. I pray for her family (especially her mother) who grieves with and for her. Please give them all strength, fortitude and a steadfast faith in You. Please surround them with relatives, loved ones, friends, colleagues and other people who can be a constant source of support, strength, and comfort for them. I pray that no harm comes to this family and to this daughter. Lord God, I pray that those people (doctors, law enforcement, priests, counselors, and other healthcare providers) they approach will treat them with understanding, charity and a love of neighbor. May they be supportive and give her the care and support she needs. I likewise pray for the rapist. Please touch his heart, mind, and soul so that he may repent and be truly sorry for what he has done. All these I ask in the name of Jesus, our Lord, Savior and Redeemer through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. AMEN.

If this man is continuing to threaten your daughter and family, you definitely need to call the police. She should report this crime in any case. They will take DNA samples, it’s extremely important to do this.

Your whole family will be in my prayers.

Phone the police! Help stop him from raping other women. Get him off the streets.

I’m praying for you in this truly difficult time.
 
Like others have said, please please please call the police sooner rather than later. Unfortunately with a rape, the evidence that is crucial to positively identifying the rapist is only present for a limited amount of time. Please do this. Save other young women from this trauma.

My heart aches for you and your daughter. What a horrible crime. Holy Mary, Mother of God, who knows suffering well, who knows the pain of the violation of their children, please pray for this family. Sweet and merciful Jesus, hear our prayer!

I second this, if you call the police and tell them that he’s been calling your daughter then they can use this information and his number to catch this man and put him behind bars.

I am so sorry you and your daughter are going through this. PLEASE, go directly to the emergency room. Take the clothes that were worn at the time. This is so important. She should have a sexual assault kit completed. This will take a few hours, and THEY will contact the police and a report will be filed. A social worker specialized in this will be there also. It’s very important that the evidence is collected properly.

Oh Mary, I’m saddened to hear this about your daughter. My prayers are w/ her and all.

I’m praying Our Blessed Mother will wrap her mantle around you all and help you get through this horrible assult.

My heart goes out to you and your daughter. 😦 I know all too well what this is like, and my prayers are with her, and with you. I hope this monster who did this is put away for a very long time!!!
