98 yo and annointing of the sick

Hope this is the right forum for this thread.

Today we had Annointing of the Sick for an aged group. It was a very humbling experience as I was escorting a 98yo lady back to the lounge. This lovely lady was having a bad day, very confused about her surroundings, where she lived, where she had been or was going.
I told her we had just been in Annointing Mass.
Her response
‘I AM NOT WORTHY FOR THAT’. We then discussed Jesus love with wonderful clarity.

Very humbling.

I used to visit the Nursing Homes and
play my guitar and sing for the old folks.
I get blessed every time I go, it was a
vary humbling experience, and thru it
my prayer life blossomed. I once played
music at the bedside of a dying woman
and she passed away right there, one of
the others in her room cried out loud when
she passed!!

…what you’ve experienced is an encounter with a True Child of God–these are Believers that have not been caught in the web of society where God is but a tangent and man is all.

…her sincerity comes from Believing that man is unworthy of God’s Grace and Mercy… quite reminiscent of the Virgin’s song (St. Luke 1:46-55): “…my soul Glorifies the Lord…”
