This is all quite interesting. George Harrison said ‘God doesnt mind what you call him as long as you call him and Jesus is waiting on the mainline.’ I think thats lovely myself.
You left out Miles Davis.

[sorry]
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I love it! 👍

Hello Tom,

Thats nice, but than how many Muslims believe that? Maybe a fraction? Take for example the first two and 14th, Compassionate, Forgiving and Merciful, if Allah is that than why do Muslims go on rampage even for something like cartoons, and someone saying something against Allah?

We Christians believe in God and know that its His Authority to Punish the wrong doers.

**Indeed theses 99 names / earthly understanding of the attributes of The Most High are beautiful.

They are of My God.

In the bible the holy prophet Jesus (PBWH) taught his followers how to pray after they asked him.

He referred to God as the Father. He also is narrated as stating God is greater than himself.

I read may posts on this forum and it saddens my heart, many compete to have the best knowledge of God.

Allah has many names / attributes far exceeding the 100 you have offered for you can never grasp that That is above us all.

The competition in this post is the root of wars,
yet some of you feed it.
It brings pain to your being though you see it not your souls do.

From little things big things grow.
My smallest action has the greatest impact seen or unseen by my eye.

I am poorly educated, have read no books other than scripture so given my low status you scholars could squash this post like a bug in debate.

You will be able to tell me how i am against the holy prophet Mahomed (PBWH) or how the Holy woman Mary pre existed my God and is His mother.

BUT WHEN YOU BRING DOWN A SEEKER OF
GOD / ALLAH / THE PURE DIVINES
LIGHT IT WILL BE RECORDED IN YOUR OWN BOOK.

100 NAMES ARE WRITTEN IN THIS TOPIC DO WITH THEM AS YOUR GOD COMMANDED YOU TO THROUGH HIS PROPHETS (PBWT) THAT YOU CLAIM AS YOUR OWN.

In your hearts are so many truths, i read them buried in the competition if your posts.

I give thanks and praise to my God for these and beg He bless you for it.**
It always amazes me why muslims use pbuh for the prophets. Unless they have no faith in allah and dont believe that the prophets are already at peace with Allah. Is that the reason muslims always ask for peace for the prophets?

Actually ,Christians and Muslims agree on some names of God.
Jesus/Bible said the following:
I Am the Truth (John 14:6) - AL HAQ
I Am the Door/Guide (John 10:9) - AL HADI
I Am the Alpha and Omega (Rev 22) - AL AWAL - AL AKHER
I Am Resurrection and the Life (John 11) - AL BAETH
The King of Kings (Rev 17:14) - AL MALEK

Assalamu Alaikum Tomshaikh,

Not to be rude, but exactly what is the point of this thread?
It was interesting up until the last sentence. I wonder if this is something that is a “must-learn” or something that is part of Islam education.

John Chapter 8

“Abraham is our father,” they answered. “If you were Abraham’s children,” said Jesus, "then you would do the things Abraham did

As it is, you are determined to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. Abraham did not do such things.

You are doing the things your own father does." “We are not illegitimate children,” they protested. “The only Father we have is God himself.”

Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here. I have not come on my own; but he sent me.

Why do you not understand what I am saying? It is because you cannot hear My word.

“You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies”.

And because I tell you the truth, you believe me not!

I have complete respect for all names by which you have called God in your post. You must love Him quite a bit to know Him by so many names. In my faith He has many names as well, however, we keep in mind that these are names used by humans, because in reality God is beyond form, beyond the intellect and nameless. That said, your list is quite inspiring. I like it.

Who translated these names from arabic?

AL-MUTAKABBIR- The Most Proud…for example is the correct translation, not the Greatest

Glory be to the One who rightfully deserves to be called the Most PROUD, He is Allah

It always amazes me why muslims use pbuh for the prophets. Unless they have no faith in allah and dont believe that the prophets are already at peace with Allah. Is that the reason muslims always ask for peace for the prophets?
Assumption: your use of Muslims is not the arabic definition but you mean people of the Islamic religion, those having made and holding to shahada .

I am not the person to ask, you would do better to ask someone who says this to you.

This is an old post you have quoted and i should have used the same term (pbut) as you offer not (pbwt) as i did.
Faith, understanding and communication of it is living and grows, God willing with every breath.

As you have asked me the best i can do for you is offer my own understanding of Muslims formed from a variety of sources.

Firstly in all three monotheistic traditions the none of the prophets (pbut) were sinless, sin needs mercy from God / Allah for true peace.

To consider as you have that they have “no faith” in Allah i would consider to be outside of Catholic understanding as Catholic faith is that Muslims are seeking the same God.

Catholics see Muslims as having a different understanding of The One God.

Today most people would see Muslims are very strong faith in their understanding of Allah, they show it in their actions most of us by now have experienced. Most of us have Muslims live near us and Catholic being of the spirit they are extend them selves to new comers to our area. Catholics are not people who sit back in arm chairs looking at the wider world then form opinions they are called to go out into it and be their witness Catholics are living people.

Best i have observed and listened most if not all Muslims believe the prophets (pbut) are at least in Allahs favour.

Maybe it has some connection with humility that all sinners need peace and that in this state of being none fully understand Gods / Allahs judgement and seek His peace for those who have aspired submitted to Him. Catholic pray for dead people unless they have judged them saints or are known as prophets (pbut). Those judged saints are at times prayed to or through as judged suitable for intercession.

Living Muslims also can intercede for family members and can even earn the right to bring looser to heaven. Prophets (pbut) were natural men. I dont suggest they believe Prophets (pbut) need the living to get them entry to paradise but draw a parallel of seeking Gods goodness for those no longer living in our state of being.

Muslims are the way of the Bible narrations of Jesus (pbwh) and pray directly to God / Allah. Far from a lack of faith. It would be easier to argue those who do not pray direct (Catholics and others) are lacking faith as its not the way of the teachers instruction but is of later mans judgement.

For me personally not that this what you asked of me, i see the “be” as a statement not a request. Like the Catholics discerning who was / is a saint i place my self at risk of being against God / Allah as i am not the judge of any man.
Only God / Allah is all knowing and all seeing.
He sees hearts, best i can do is witness some fruit, good or bad and accept hearsay and supernatural inspiration.
Fruit is the best criteria but requires understanding no one of us see it all good or bad.
Hearsay is dangerous as it is not witness and when looking back is by narrations and tradition of others conveyed understanding. Supernatural inspiration can be dangerous as the darkness does deceive by appearing as light.
An example of this is on first read i felt you were poking at me considering me a muslim. This is because you quoted my post. After reflection i see you have not referring to my post in any way or my using of (peace be with them) but you referred to the use of (peace be upon them). Even after reading and trusting in your wording of humbly asking me a question for my response, that force still niggles me, its the dark take on your post and though i know and desire rejecting it is best, doubt shakes me as it would be terrible if i rejected the spirit of truth if you were referring to me as of the Islamic religion. How frail i am. I pray you and God forgive me if its relevant.

So for me to state “be” is a statement places my self at risk, as a request it would reflect my appreciation of Gods / Allahs goodness to me in the prophets (pbut) knowing they are not sinless and seek the very best for them form The Only that can allow it.

May God make this of some use to you and save you from my shortfalls.

Peace and blessings to you and yours

“I will be who I will be”, you have free will so choose well who you see
