This is really a fascinating time in which to live. The prophets and the Book of Revelation point to a Temple at the time of the Antichrist. Since the first Temple (Solomon’s Temple) was destroyed in 586 BC and the Temple of Herod (2nd temple after Jews returned from captivity rebuilt by under Ezra and Nehemiah then enlarged and embellished by Herod) was already destroyed by the Romans (70 AD) by the time John was shown visions and given messsages for the Church of his time and the future, and was told to write them down and circulate them, the Temple had to be a future temple (#3.) John’s prophetic visions and messages included a Temple on earth after the heavenly prototype, thereby pointing to an actual not allegorical Temple in the future.

Many Jews care more than we realize. So much in fact that they are preparing to rebuild as soon as they get the go-ahead. They are in fact surprisingly ready and engaged: templeinstitute.org/main.htm

Many jews couldn’t care less. However that won’t stop God from bringing His plan to completion. Ultimately the Jews will recognize Jesus as the Messiah but not until Antichrist shows them his true colors and the Two Witnesses do some heavy evangelizing of their own. For their troubles the reward for these Two Witnesses, after their mission is complete in God’s eyes, will be death. After 3 1/2 days lying dead in the streets while the unbelieving world rejoices and gloats over them, their resurrection and being taken up into heaven will certainly get the jews attention and point them in the right and true direction. The Temple is part and parcel of the plan of God. We might not be the generation to see it but then again…

As far as I know those Orthodox Jews trace their acncestry back to the Pharisees not the priests. So it wouldn’t be them who run and regulate the Temple. It would be interesting to know what an Orthodox Jew would say about the whereabouts of todays Levites.

Have you heard of the Cohen Modal Haplotype?

They are identifying the Kohanin genetically already. They all fall into the y-chromosomal Haplogroup J.

Probably all to true. I saw a stray dog today that looked oh sooooo happy-go-lucky, and I was a tad envious as I watched him.

As a Christian I am already dead in Christ. I definitely haven’t resisted to the point of shedding blood. Martyrdom is not like the death of the wicked and unprepared, so in peaceful time I want to be prepared**** (“When they may say,Peace peace then sudden destruction comes upon them, as travail upon her that is with child and they shall in no wise escape”)****and in chaotic times I want to be more prepared!

I want to correct an error I made in an earlier post. I stated that the Jews today are descendants from those that were at Sinai, implying (or stating) that the other lost tribes were not there. In fact, the tribal distinctions were kept throughout our slavery, as evidenced in the book of Joshua, where the land is divided for each tribe. A couple of hundred years later, after the death of Solomon, the nations splits into two. The kingdom of Israel is formed by the 10 lost tribes. Judah forms the kingdom of Judah. Later the Assyrians conquor Israel and the 10 tribes are scattered in exile. Whereabouts unknown.

Jews today are assumed to be descended from Judah or Levites.

THe smart money regarding the 10 tribes is that they completly assimilated into the societies that they were exiled to.

Smart money would believe what the Creator said… they will become the “fullness of the nations” Genesis 48:19 (promise of a multitude)

I have heard many times of Evangelicals claiming that a new temple must be built prior to the second coming. Im curious as to how that temple, if it is actually built, could conduct worship since the line of priest have been broken for some 2000 years. I see no continuity to any service that may take place there if the temple is rebuilt. Even if they have historical books that describe the worship ceremony the line of priest have been broken and any attempt are restarting the worship would be in vain. I feel it is hypothetical at the notion that the Palestinian Muslims would even allow such an undertaking to take place. But for arguments sake, would Jews actually want a new temple knowing that they have been disconnected for so long a time without any succession to the priesthood of the past?

The prophecies are never very literal one, these have to be interpreted, and those who insist their literal fulfillment always remain misguided and deprived. Jews denied Jesus as they waited Elijah to descend literally from the skies before Jesus, which never happened so they missed the bus and are still wailing and waiting for their Moshiach, while in fact in the shape of Jesus he had come.

Now that Second Coming of Jesus 1835-1908 has already taken place, and he has explained the Scriptures, so his is the third temple, those who have eyes and ears should, in my opinion, accept him and support him. Please don’t wait for literal fullfillment like Jews did.

Thanks for this. Just finished reading it. I had heard of genetic evidence but that’s all I knew.

Now how close are the jews to a red heifer needed to purify them so that can go into the Holy Place? I know there was some excitement a while ago when one was born. Wonder if it remained red as a “heifer” is 3 or 4 years of age, I believe. At any rate breeding is a great option even if it didn’t remain completely red because of it’s gene pool.
