Aborted babies go to heaven. Heaven is undoubtedly better than earth in every possible way imaginable. In light of this by never gracing the earth an aborted fetus is not missing anything. If the fetus was not aborted, there is a chance that they could go to hell. Aborting a fetus is the only way to guarantee heaven. Therefore abortion is moral.

But the morality of this decision is based on the intention, circumstances and consequences. The baby goes to heaven, but you go to hell. Morality is about doing right by others and by aborting an unborn baby you are removing the choice that child has to live.

basic argument in the favor of murder of a living 3 month old, 6 month old, or 5 year old child:
a child who dies before the age of reason goes to heaven
and so forth through the rest of your argument

where a murder victim ends up is hardly a justification for the criminal who commits the crime

But the morality of this decision is based on the intention, circumstances and consequences. The baby goes to heaven, but you go to hell. Morality is about doing right by others and by aborting an unborn baby you are removing the choice that child has to live.
Intention: to get your baby to heaven.

Circumstances: you have the chance to get your baby to heaven and take it.

Consequence: you possibly give up your chance to go to heaven to guarantee your child does. What could be more noble than that?

You’ve got it wrong. The act is abortion. The intention is to kill your baby. Your baby getting into heaven is a consequence of God’s mercy! The circumstances are that you are insane and think that killing your baby is a good thing because it will go to heaven. The consequences are a dead baby, which will never live out God’s plan for it and which you have organised the murder of!

this is the same kind of rationalization a sociopath makes for his crimes.

Isn’t it the afterlife that really matters? Wouldn’t you rather have a horrible life and go to heaven than have a great life and go to hell? Isn’t life just about getting to heaven? Isn’t that the overall goal? Am I missing something here? Everything else is just fluff. 80 years is nothing compared to eternity.

God has a plan for each and every person. It might include providing health care, feeding the hungry, teaching, raising a God-loving family, providing the sacraments for a remote village where there are no priests. By aborting a baby, God’s plans are also aborted. Therefore, abortion is ALWAYS immoral.

ALWAYS!

The child is already alive, and it is not OUR right to purposely end his or her life.
Also, according to the Church, the end never justifies the means.
Ergo, abortion is immoral.

yes you are most definitely missing something. It is God alone who sets the term of the earthly life of an individual, and who calls them to Him in heaven in his own good time. No human has that authority. Who the h-ee-toothpick toothpick are you to say someone’s time on earth is worthless?

The points I highlighed in black are not neccesarily correct. As to babies who die without baptism, we entrust them to the mercy of God. Entrusting a child to the mercy of God is NOT the same thing as presuming the mercy of God. Presumption is a serious sin. So is abortion. Aborting a baby does NOT guarantee that the baby goes to heaven, and it places the soul of other people in serious jepardy too.

Epic fail, man.

First of all, we can’t be assured they go to heaven - they are in God’s mercy but since they are neither baptized nor technically at the point where they accept him for certain, we can’t know what God will do. Especially if it turns out they would have been pure evil had they been born.

No. Life is not about getting to heaven. Life is about making your choices and enjoying your existence which God has granted to you before heaven. Life is about removing the pain from this world before we enter a painless one. Life is in part about heaven, and loving God, and that makes up a big part of it - but that’s not all.
Consequence: you possibly give up your chance to go to heaven to guarantee your child does. What could be more noble than that?
Letting your child enjoy the pleasures of this life and make the choice for heaven, so both of you can be together.

It seems in spite of your title you hold little more water than a few cheap shots and badly sourced statements. What makes you hate the Church so much?

Andrea Yates would agree with you.
In fact, she did agree with you.
She mirdered her five children to get them to heaven.

Are you fine with that?

False dichotomy. The choice is not between ‘a horrible life and going to heaven’ OR 'a great life and go to hell.

Also, every human being deserves to make his or her choice (free will) and NOT to have that choice taken from them. Because with your perverted logic, every person in a state of grace (whether it is a child before the age of reason, or a person who has just gone to confession) should be killed because at the time of death the person is ‘assured of heaven’. (I notice no one has yet dealt with your other incorrect assumption that an aborted child ‘automatically’ goes to heaven. We trust in God’s mercy but it is NOT known without a shadow of a doubt. . .you may, in fact, through abortion be depriving a child for eternity of the kind of full loving relationship that child should have had with God. What a terrifying thought that should be. . .) As though depriving them of life and the possibility that THEY may choose sin (or NOT) is a GOOD thing. . .

because Heaven is better than earth does not mean that there are no joys or purpose to life on earth. As others have said there is no scriptural guarantee that the unborn are in heaven.

But above all, good can not come from evil. God’s direct command is Thou Shalt Not Kill (take innocent life).

Abortion is immoral.

For the record, this is a silly post. Abortion is clearly immoral.

Also, there’s no guarantee that aborted babies go to Heaven, as they cannot be baptized before the abortion. Now I think the whole “do unbaptized babies go to Heaven” discussion isn’t really appropriate for this thread, but I’m just pointing out that there is no certainty that unbaptized babies go to Heaven.

I was praying and witnessing in front of an abortion clinic one time when a man, who was obviously there with someone who was having an abortion, came up to me and asked me if I was Catholic. I said yes, and he said why do we keep following him around? He doesn’t want his babies coming into this world. I said do you realize that your baby is being torn apart upstairs? He said he would rather have them torn apart now than later. I asked him if he would have preferred to be aborted. And he, chillingly, said yes. This man’s eyes were completely cold with not a trace of emotion. Is that a good thing, or is it completely of Satan.

Any argument in favor of abortion is completely from the devil. The destruction of completely innocent and defenseless life is the most horrific evil there can be. This evil argument could be used so that no one is allowed to be born and the human race is completely wiped out. This would be Satan’s complete victory.

Not if you believe in original sin! No one goes to heaven without saying yes to Christ, just as the thief on the cross next to Christ did. I don’t know how God’s mercy works with unborn babies, but somehow or other, they have to say yes.
