Many years ago back when I was in college, I heard the Ave Maria played by a string quartet. College musicians. I believe it included two violins, a viola and a cello. I am for sure on that.
All I do know is that is was one of the most beautiful renditions that I have ever heard. It almost brought me to tears it was so wonderful.
What are some great songs or bits of music that my CAF brothers and sisters have heard performed live during a Mass celebration?

On this past Easter Sunday, after Mass, Pachalbel’s canon in D was played with a organ, flute, and (I think) harp.

It was sooo beautiful. They also played Bach’s “Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring”
