Oh ok thanks for clearing that up for me I will have to remember that. SO its Extraordinary I have to put before Ministers. I just know that after Communion they are called up to get the Eucharist and take them to shut in’s or homes. Thanks again for telling me that. I have to remember it now.Just one clarification, Rinnie --and no offense since the term you used was in ‘vogue’ for quite some time, but it is an incorrect term.
The only proper “Eucharistic Minister” is a priest.
Lay people who operate under the parameters you described are more properly termed either:
Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist (EME) or
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHC).
The emphasis is on the “extraordinary”. Only a priest is an ‘ordinary’ Eucharistic Minister (no qualification needed).
