My cycle has been a bit off since December 2015. There were many contributing factors to my cycle being off. A lot has happened in my life since then. My hope is for my cycle to finally get on track so that my husband can have our fourth child. We are currently trying to conceive our fourth child however there are times I feel discouraged and frustrated. My husband and I want nothing more than to have more children. Any words of wisdom or advice are welcome.

Thanks!

Is your concern that because you didn’t conceive the first month that you tried that you might not be able to conceive ever again? If so, I think you are really getting yourself worked up way too early. Sometimes it takes more than one try, even with NFP.

I can identify with your feelings. My husband and I kept trying for baby # 3 and it took us longer than expected. The first two were conceived in the same month we began trying but the third took us 6 months. For me it felt like forever but then I talked to a coworker who had tried for a decade to get pregnant and another has been trying for 3 years. It definitely put things in perspective for me. And then to top it off, sadly, we miscarried the third baby at 11 weeks. So we can never really predict what God will or will not do. As it was, we ended up having a lot of health problems this year and while we’re very sad that we lost the baby, I think God knew that we wouldn’t be able to handle pregnancy/a new baby and all of the health problems we’ve had. Maybe it won’t be until later down the road that you see that God did have a hand in the timing, for one reason or another. Just trust in Him, RELAX, and enjoy connecting with your husband, whether a baby results or not.

Thank you for your encouraging words.
