That God takes mud and makes it man is one thing.

That Adam’s children mated with beasts and produced us is another thing entirely.
 
You’re the one claiming that they mated with beasts. We are saying they mated with humans.
 
How is it that intellect is grafted onto a soul that lacks it? I’m assuming that’s what you are saying is happening when humans with intellect mate with humans with out intellect?
 
I’ve read convincing articles that suggest Neaderthals did have fairly complex society… but really it’s moot to the point of this thread.
 
Not from my perspective there weren’t. It is possible that Adam and Eve’s children mated with near-humans who did not possess immortal souls… I don’t like it (and for that matter I don’t like the alternative which is incest), and I recognize that it poses theological challenges… but until we find a way to address the lack of a genetic bottleneck in our history, we’re at an impasse.
