My heart, soul, whole being, belongs to the Discalced Carmelites Nuns.
Before, I made the decison about going to cloistered order. I visited two different active orders. I am very thankful for both orders, they helped me out while discerning my vocation, and I’m still in contact with the religious Sisters
I did visit Carmel of St. Joseph but not very long. I had to come back home to take care of a few things, I was ill (flu and personal problems), and I’ll admit I really missed my family, friends, and so forth and they missed me
I often have realistic dreams of the Carmelites and I really do miss each and everyone of them. I do plan on returning to the convent for a 3 month live-in or possibly even longer
Praise be the Lord for them–for all who dedicate their lives to God and His people. I keep in contact with them by letters (since they do not have access to the internet).
Jan.14/09/Wed. The Carmelite Nuns sent me a lovely letter written on a homemade Christmas card and I feel so blessed because I requested Prayers and they are Praying for everyone
They also enclosed this in their letter. They were/are in the process of building a “new” house. I’d like to help them out, like maybe asking my Parish if they’d help raise money, or perhaps you fine people can suggest something? However, I don’t want my name (username) to be public, it’s not about me, it’s about them, it’s about Our Lord, and Blessed Mother…Actually, even though I strongly believe and know that the Lord is calling me to become a Carmelite Nun I don’t make a “big deal” out of it because like I stated it’s not about me–it’s about Our Lord and Our Lady, etc.
I know the economy is tougher than ever but if you have any spare change consider making a donation to: Please and thank you (I would attach a picture but I don’t know how)
