No I did not miss any of your posts. But what you post is from men.
In the Acts or the Apostles in the Catholic Bible it states that the Apostles Babtized households. So if you can tell me in your sola scriptura way that that only means people who could recieve baptism in your way I’d definetly like to see your scripture verse.

Alas, it isn’t my analogy. All I added was the oranges. It is from the Bible as you know so you are saying the Bible is false. Grafting isn’t a new thing. God knew it would be around, that’s why it is there. But you can’t pick and choose the parts you like to fit your theology.
No - you just choose to ignore John 15:6, where Jesus himself says this about the branches:
**"Anyone who does not remain in me will be thrown out like a branch and wither; people will gather them and throw them into a fire and they will be burned."

This speaks again to faithful endurance.

Alas - it IS your analogy. You may have gotten the idea from Scripture (out of context, of course) but twisted it to your own destruction (2 Pet. 3:16).

Acrobatics? You are the one taking scripture out of context and then I am having to apply the entire text to first explain your error and then 9 times out of 10 show you how in fact your scripture can be used in my favor.

Maybe before you cut and paste, you should say, I am going to go 5 back and 5 forward and see what this is all about. If it still applies, then proceed with using it.
Ok… I am reminding myself… charity…charity.
As I already pointed out to you in my last post - you twisted the whole meaning of the branches because you failed to mention - in CONTEXT what Jesus himself had to say about those unfruitful branches being burned.
Well, if you are a false teacher, you better beware!.
**PARTLY correct. **
The context of the New Testament tells us that if we lose faith and turn away from God, we’d better beware. This doesn’t apply simply to false teachers but to ALL.

Just because I disagree with their decession don’t mean I disrepect them or being disrespectful. God made that choice who my parents would be. Now who’s choice is it that a child is born to parents that harm them? Who made that choice for them?
Why did God choose these parents for you rekevin…this isn’t about anybody else but you…typical when pressed your kind always run to some example so they don’t have to look at themsleves.

John 15:16
16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.

Yes, our Lord did say that to the 12 Apostles. He was not speaking to the multitudes. Have to view the context of the story…

What do you mean your kind?
Now I at least say the denomination and Catholics do it also. Thats like calling the kettle black. Now I answered your question can you do the same and answer mine?

The words Jesus said are for all of us believers,we are all His apostles.
Where in scriptures does it say we are all Apostles?

1Co 12:27 Now you are the body of Christ and members of member.
1Co 12:28 And God indeed hath set some in the church; first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly doctors: after that miracles: then the graces of healings, helps, governments, kinds of tongues, interpretations of speeches.
1Co 12:29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all doctors?
1Co 12:30 Are all workers of miracles? Have all the grace of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?

What? No children present in whole households? 😃 Mighty strange households with the owners having no children and the servants having no children either.

And, you are discounting the early church father’s sermons also? They make it very plain that infants and children are baptized and they explain that the reason for baptizing them is because Baptism washes away Original Sin.
like I said heard it all before. Not buying this house hold arguement.

Nope - I’m BEING saved.
I won’t know for sure until I “finish the race”. I don’t have an absolute guarantee - I have a moral assurance that I WILL be saved, IF I remain faithful to the end.
I,m sorry your “being saved.” I’m glad I am saved.

**Archeological discoveries in the Roman catacombs have long-ago proven that infant baptism was common in the primitive Roman Churches. Two clear examples, among dozens of similar inscriptions, are all that we really need to support this claim. A man with the resounding Roman/Latin name of Murtius Verinus placed on the tomb of his children the inscription: “Verina received Baptism at the age of ten months, Florina at the age of twelve months.” The date of this tomb has been firmly established by radio-carbon dating of the children’s bones as being 105 AD +/- 4 years. Another tomb, not far away from this one, has the inscription: “Here rests Achillia, a newly-baptized infant; she was one year and five months old, died February 23rd…” and then follows the year of the reigning emperor, which dates her death to 91 AD. [see W. Wall, “History of Infant Baptism”, 2 Vols., London, 1900. and other related articles in various archeological journals from early this century.] **

For everyone’s benefit here is Romans 11:16-24.
16If the part of the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, then the whole batch is holy; if the root is holy, so are the branches.

17If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, 18do not boast over those branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you. 19You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in.” 20Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid. 21For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either.

22Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off. 23And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. 24After all, if you were cut out of an olive tree that is wild by nature, and contrary to nature were grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much more readily will these, the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree!

So as to not belabor the whole thing.

God is the root.
The root begat the nature branches.
The natural branches are the Jews.
Christ begat the the grafted branches.
The grafted branches are Christians.
Any unfruitful branches are removed.
But can be regrafted by God.
Dead branches are burned (which I stated).

So, where is your problem? Your problem is you don’t like the idea that God can regraft branches back onto the stock tree. I’m sorry you have a problem with that but it is right there for everyone to read.

The scriptures are for us all who ever we are.
That is no kind of a satisfactory answer tweetymom. You make statements, to seemingly disagree with Catholics about everything, but you do not provide scripture and verse, or any other sources, to support your view.

I have shown where Paul specifically teaches all were not Apostles.

You sure did and I agree with you on that one issue. But not that all of us are doers of the scriptures. Sorry but you are wrong!

And as usual, you state your ‘anti-Catholic’ opinion without any sources, including scriptures.
