Where can I find the version I remember of that magnificent Wesleyan Easter hymn, ‘Christ the Lord is Ris’n Today’?
I’m posting in this particular forum because I suspect that the version I remember was a specifically Catholic one. My apologies if this is the wrong place for this query, but I’m a newb here.
Wesley’s original, and so far as I can see, all the versions available on YouTube, ends each line with ‘Alleluja!’ Which is lovely, but lacks the punch I remember from 50 years ago… the version we sang at St Charles Boromeo, Tudhoe, UK. I recall the magnificent last line ending ‘Christ is Ris’n; no more to die!’
Can any kind soul out there put me on to a YouTube URL with that, rather than Wesley’s original, version?
