1) Islam does have aleader below Allah my friend, they have a religious leader, similar to a pope(don’t misinterpret my example), a religious leader who takes place of Mohammeds leadership, there are two main groups who disagree with who should be the leader, in a scence they ae in schism. I didn’t mean literally excomunicated, they are no longer truly part of the faith if they defy its teachings. The fighting isn’t over the faith but the cultural differences in the Muslim countries. What good would it do me to read bias books and speculations.
2) I don’t like the country I get to speak my views, we are a terrible country, full of sin and filth. We have our highlights here and there and that is about it now. We say our freedoms are so great, look were they lead us, from good religious society to whore houses and porn shops on everyother corner. I don’t think we should be annialated but we are in need desperately of reforms.
3)Very well even if they are they are ignorant of their faith’s beleifs and thus are not part of the faith. Even if they follow what they think is the faith, the faith would not except them, like an active homosexual would probably not be excepted into the church if he openly refused to turn from his actions.
4)The intelligiance of this country so far has not been to impresive lately I do have to say. In comparison to the amount of practicing Islam population, a small amount of the whole are actually in a militant group. I would call small population a few radicals, just like in France the few radicals that were rioting, not the French people in general but a small group of the whole.
I do try my best to keep informed for one. I am not in any way a “soldier” against this ideaology, because it isn’t a war, there is and always be a militant group out there, regardless of our actions. I don’t condone terrorists, but as a nation we really can’t condemn it, as it is what created us and many other countries. I don’t like you taking away from those people’s bravery and cheapening it with your militant speach. They did what was necessary to defend themselves and their country, unlike what our nation is doing. Our nation is an imperialistic conqueror trying to secure resources.
  1. The last Caliph was ended by the Turks. Read the history of the subject you wish to discuss.
  2. You don’t like the country? Hmm so why not move to some tolerant land like, I dunno, say Algeria?
  3. Thank you for the point.
  4. You don’t want to take away from who’s bravery, the “freedom fighters” who flew the jets into our WTC or the Pentagon?? And don’t start on France, its my specialty.

We must convert all muslims but for this, we have to be proud of our catholic religion and spread it. We have to defend our religion against their enemies. This is important.

This business of not “practicing Christianity” when in Saudi Arabia is not a new thing.

It has affected or negatively impacted all practices by Christians for decades.

It is important to figure out what can be done; things that do work.

I would suggest that the internet is a powerful tool. And that EWTN which has world-wide reach is also a tool that is effective - so support EWTN.

And give personal witness.

And pray constantly for the conversion of Muslims.

And know your faith, so that when talking with Muslims in the United States or in the UK or where ever they are encountered, at work, at the doctor’s office, at the library, that they learn even if subliminally about the wonders of being a follower of Jesus the Christ.

Dear Franze,

One good idea. Even if I am a Protestant, I don’t mind our Moslem brothers join Catholic. But first of all, we must stand up to this kind of Christian bashing. We must say,“While we respect your opinion and freedom of speech, please respect us and don’t bash us just because we never kill or harm you, and never think of doing so. But as a human, we can also STOP supporting you.”

Dear Al Masetti,

While there are a lot of conversion from Islam to Christianity, they need OUR real support to stay strong, moreover when they are in Islamic countries. Their conversion can lead to their DEATH. Only strong figures are brave to do conversion bravely. I remember reading a convert to Christianity was stabbed to death in Islamic Country. But I am still searching the link to give to you all.
Denis Giron, Nonie Darwis, Ali Sina. Even they have to watch for their safety. And some of them LIVE IN WESTERN COUNTRIES. Can you imagine IF they lived in Islamic Countries?
We must go back to love and truth (although it’s hard, I am still a sinner).

In Jesus Love

Is there another airline Christians could fly on? Must they fly Bristish Airlines?

That is rediculous. I understand we shouldn’t provoke hostilities, but to hide one person belonging of their faithis to much. Restraint and avoidance ok, but complete change of appearance is unexceptible. I have to agree with the statement that why should the change be one sided, they’re to respect other religions as it is stated in their Quran as we are too.
It’s very simple, If anyone does not want to follow the instructions, they will not be allowed in Saudi. That’s it. They don’t care what you think, and they don’t care if you enter their country.

Most of the airlines do the same thing in this matter. It’s cetrainly not news. This has been happening for many years. It runs in cycles, and what you see here is normal. The only difference is that someone wrote about it in the media.

The airline being referred to in the original post was British Midland International(www.flybmi.com).

That is a different airline from British Airways(www.ba.com).

But I thought the position of Caliph didn’t exist anymore? Not for either the Sunnis or the Shiites.
Well the Sunnis have adopted a policy of personal ideaology and that everyone is responsible for their own thoughts and understandings, which in essence has lead to the problems of today, as they became more dominent they lost leadership and opened people like Bin Laden to trick and manipulate people.
Shiites still in a sence have a religious leader. The nation head, King, prince, etc…, is the top most religious authority on Earth. The shiites still retain the heirarchy but not in the same sence of the old, they still have imams and alims for spiritual guidance unlike the sunni. The title Caliph is no longer given as there is no longer a unified kingdom of muslims.

Dear BryPGuy89,

May be you should start reading some discussion concerning Islamic belief and verses. Here is the links:

forums.catholic-questions.org/showthread.php?t=87242

forums.catholic-questions.org/showthread.php?t=82772

And there are many others.

You may try to read Quran and Hadiths. You may find this Surah 9 interesting to you (Surah 9 is one of the latest Surah, and keep in mind that in moslems’ opinion, Quran is for all season and time):
islamicity.com/QuranSearch/

After that, you can conclude yourself. There is also a very interesting testimony from an apostate of Islam:

(continued)

You may try to conclude yourself.

First, i went to the thread and immideately found inconsistancies with the “quotes” posted, and the Quran verses at the web site provided. I didn’t like that. In the testimony I found certain things to be biased of a man questioning his faith and not looking at it from a fair point of view. He just sounds like anyone of any other faith that is confused or ignorant of the truth teachings of a faith. Many people bring similar questions to Christian churches and something similar to this caused the Reformation. The teachings of the original doctrines can easily be lost or perverted and so questions for today can not be easily answered as they could in the past. I see just one man’s view and don’t take much of what he had to say as an over all concenses of the Muslim faith.

  1. I know this and said the same thing to Neverland. So I am informed, more indept info is also under the recent post to Neverland.
2)Our country has many problems, even if they’re not as bad as some, the sarcasm is not apreciated. I plan on leaving this country as it is. I am quite aware that compared to the pre industrial countries I have it good.
  2. Your welcome.
  3. I meant the bravery of the passengers of the flight that crashed in Penn. They conducted themselves to the utmost bravery in defending their country. I make my point though using France as an example.

We should definitely share our faith. Now I would not consider Islam as an enemy of the faith to defend against.

We have the right request that Muslims respect our religion as we respect theirs, but to say that we don’t kill or harm them would be a lie. The war on terror is directly harming and killing them, terrorist or not, both are affected. I don’t see as a humas, we can’t supporrt them. Most Muslim are not terrorists or affect Christians.

That is perfectly fair. If I can’t wear an item of my faith and visit the country I just wont, they just lose money from torrist.

Sunnis really don’t say everyone is responsible for their own thoughts and understandings. They have th Quran, hadith, and much commentary on both.

Saidi Arabia doesn’t have tourism. They don’t want you. They don’t want tourists or their money.Westerners get in the country on work visas under which a Saudi company sponsors them, or diplonmatic visas for work in embassies or consulates.

There was an attempt to start some very limited tourism, but I think it was dropped. It was a result of criticism that the country was closed. So, in typical Saudi fashion, they institute tourist visas, but don’t issue them.

Well, that’s good to know. Next time I fly British Airlines, I’ll have to remember to bring Bibles, Crucifixes, Scapulas, Rosaries, and all the other clearly-Christian things that I own.

I doubt BA cares, but they will be happy to charge you for excess baggage.
