Disclaimer: This is not to pick a fight, lest anyone accuse me of this. I’m genuinely curious about the questions I’m going to ask:
1: Doesn’t the Roman-Catholic church have a problem in the brief period where there is no pope (that is: When a new pope is being elected)? Because wouldn’t that, from an RC point of view, mean that the Church is without a leader, that Christ no longer has a vicar?
2: Can anyone be elected pope, or does it HAVE to be one of the cardinals that make up the Conclave?
Probably a lot more questions, but these are the two that sprung to mind.
