I wear a plain cross; my good friend’s little brother has a terminal illness, and the family makes them and sells them to help fund his medical bills. I wear it out of support for them.Which would you wear a cros of a crucifix? I think I would rather wear a crucifix, but I haven’t seen many for sale in jewelry stores…They usually show very beautiful crosses
I reacll when I was a girl it was more of a protestant thing to wear a plain cross…I have a cross I seldom wear, I prefer a miraculous medal
Is there a place I can find a nice crucifix that doesn’t look like it is made for a man only?
Thanks. It’s a good way to spread awareness and my faithThat is a very beautiful thing to do
Can you post a picture of one? How much do they charge? Do they have a website, or do mail orders?I wear a plain cross; my good friend’s little brother has a terminal illness, and the family makes them and sells them to help fund his medical bills. I wear it out of support for them.

Most excellent! Thank you for posting this.
Thanks. They are getting quite popular in my hometown…It would make a perfect gift for Easter. They are nicely made and very reasonable
I hope the family gets a lot of orders for them…He looks like a lovely little fellow, and they sound like a very fine family
I think it’s important to remember though that unfortunately a crucifix is also sometimes just a piece of jewlery. I have encountered more than one person wearing a gold or silver crucifix necklace that when asked if they were Catholic or of any Christian tradition they told me “no, I just think this necklace looks cool”.I just don’t see a connection to an empty cross…So many people were crucified, but when I see a corpus on the cross ,I see Christ
I really think a cross has sort of become a piece of fashionable jewelry, rather than a religious symbol for many, and that sort of leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth
Yeah like the whole Madonna wearing a rosary around your neck trend. In my town, there is even a gang that took up to wearing a black rosary around your neck as a symbol.I think it’s important to remember though that unfortunately a crucifix is also sometimes just a piece of jewlery. I’m not sure about this. Is the site a susidiary of the Holy See? When my mother bought me crucifixes at the gift store in the Holy See, the nun who ran it said that everything in there had been blessed by the Holy Father (then HH the Servant of God Pope John Paul II).I found a site where you can have the Cruxifixes and Crosses blessed by Pope Benedict XVI
