A cry went out this night. A cry for help resounded over a 10 minute period. I looked out and up into the dark night with only stars against the darken skies. Who could it be. Some violent act being perpetrated? Some teens drinking and fighting? No, the cry for help continued loudly echoing in the cold of the night. I sent a 911 call out giving them direction to where the cries came from. Could it be the homeless army vet. I ran into to just the other day? As I got up from my bed and went out to where he laid swarms of emergency vehicles surrounded his make shift camp. He was taken away by ambulance luckily since he seemed troubled earlier of his health. What has become of his camp I thought? All his position have been left behind? If I get a moment I will walk over to his area to see. Unfortunately, on the streets, there is nowhere a homeless can store his property. May the Lord be with him in his recovery.
