Here is my situation, since as long as I can remember I have been plaited by the unseen. It used to bother me but when I stop acknowledge them they leave me alone. But this other thing just gets worse. I feel cursed. I constantly drop things for no reason, things fall when I put them in places, and sometimes when I hang blessed objects then sometime fall to the floor for no reason. It has gotten worse lately. My husband tells me it’s because I have no ‘confidence’ but that just makes my temper go high because that is not the case. I feel like I have been held back in life because my family is cursed. We all have issues that make us unsuccessful. I have two college degrees and work on a loading dock, I am turned down for one good job after another, and my health is in shambles. Me and my husband never had children because of my health issue. My life is a mess. Who can help me to get this darkness lifted for me.

One thing I forgot to mention, when I was in my teens I got involved with a oujia board. I don’t believe in superstition but I believed i did wrong and am paying the price for being a foolish teen, any feedback would be great!

I would recommend that you NEVER forget that Christ the King is always in charge.

Padre Pio - and yes, even Our Lady (in a vision to Josepha Menendez) had a very intriguing way of describing Satan: he is like a dog in chains. He can growl and bark and try to bite, but he can only go so far as Divine Providence allows it, for the sake of our salvation.

You have to know and trust that Christ has already gained your salvation and that of your loved ones, by His sacrifice on the Cross. Now you have to reach out to Him in docility and trust, and be found in His holy will. Do this, and you will live.

Father Fortea, an exorcist priest, has published some very concrete words of advice for anyone who at any point may be struggling with what they perceive to be extra-ordinary spiritual warfare. We must keep in mind that the devil is our ordinary adversary, always after us, always tempting us, and that spiritual warfare is part of the ordinary life of Christians. For whatever reason, sometimes the Lord allows just a bit more of the enemy’s evildoing to be experienced. He allows it to the degree and time He establishes, and He is always in charge to protect our soul. Remember the storm on the lake, and Peter sinking. “Man of little faith - said Christ holding his hand and quenching the storm at once - why did you doubt?” Trials are for our sanctification, and Christ stands close by to hold us as soon as we start doubting.

Here is Fr. Fortea’s advice. Very down-to-earth and easy to follow. If you think matters are very serious, it is very simple to go talk to your confessor or to any priest, ask for an appointment, and with great simplicity explain the matter. Priests deal with this in an ordinary way. Priests are used to a lot. Never feel ashamed to talk to a priest if you need his blessing. But step one is: see below, pray, and do not lose your peace

Many people wonder if curses work. That depends on God’s Will. In other words, the same can be affirmed concerning normal accidents, sickness or other misfortunes. God permits good and evil in our existence on earth, because life is a trial before Judgement. Certainly, a person who prays and lives in God’s grace will be protected by God. The more one prays and lives a spiritual life, the more he is protected.

How can one know if he is the victim of a curse? There is no way to know it, since the devil’s action is invisible. But if a curse has been made, the only way to destroy it will be to do exactly the contrary: invoke God to be protected, helped and blessed by God. Good is always stronger than evil.

When people come to my parish saying that they are suffering from a curse, I tell them that, outside of certain exceptions, it is impossible to verify a diabolic causality; but if in fact they are suffering from a curse, the only remedy and medicine is to do the following daily:

-pray a mystery of the rosary.
-read the Gospel for 5 minutes.
-speak with God for a few moments.
-go to mass (on Sundays or even more frequently)
-place a blessed crucifix in the house.
-place a blessed image of the Virgin Mary in the house.
-make the sign of the cross with holy water once a day.

Doing this, if the evils they suffer are caused by the devil, these will begin to subside. But if they do not begin to diminish in any way, that will be a sign that they are not caused by a curse.

Whatever be the phenomena that the persons suffers or believes to be suffering, what he should never, ever, do is go to a witchdoctor, shaman, seers, healers, psychics, necromancers, diviners, diabolists, mediums etc., to do away with these phenomena. They should only go to priests and charismatic renovation prayer groups. All power in this matter was given to the apostles.

People who suffer from the influence of the devil can find a solution in the prayer of liberation. The prayer of liberation is a prayer that a Christian group prays to obtain the liberation of a person from whatever malignant influence of the devil he may have. These types of prayer are very frequent amongst the Charismatic Renovation groups. But, any prayer group can intercede for a brother to be liberated from whatever ties with which the devil has bound him.

If, for the moment, one cannot find a group to pray this prayer of liberation, one can pray the prayer that appears below. A person who believes himself to be suffering in his mind or body from an influence of the devil which comes from beyond the merely natural, can say the following prayer each day:

Lord, almighty, merciful and omnipotent God,
Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
Drive out from me all influence of evil spirits.
Father, in the name of Christ, I plead you to break any chain that the devil has on me.
Pour upon me the most precious blood of your Son.
May His immaculate and redeeming blood break all bonds of my body or mind.
I ask you this through the intercession of the Most Holy Virgin Mary.
Archangel St. Michael, intercede and come to my help.
In the name of Jesus I command all devils that could have any influence over me,
To leave me forever.
By His scourging, His crown of thorns, His cross,
By His blood and Resurrection, I command all evil spirits to leave me.
By the True God
By the Holy God
By God who can do all,
I command you, filthy demon, to leave me in the name of Jesus, my Saviour and Lord.

In the case of disturbances affecting a place rather than people (ex. making objects move, provoking noises or odors) a priest can pray once in the house and then encourage the family to join daily to pray together. They can pray the rosary, read the Bible jointly, sprinkle holy water in the rooms, join before a sacred image and pray for protection, etc.And of course to ask Saint Michael to expel that bad spirit. The united prayer of a family can perfectly break the power of the devil over that place if they persevere praying together during weeks or months.
