These are serious questions that I need answered. Science has shown us that the sun and universe will end in some million years, how does this coincide with the end times? Humans have been trying to find other planets to inhabit other planets due to the fact our planet could be destroyed which would seem like the resurrection of the dead would not be possible. I would perfer someone educated in the topic of theology and modern science.

Thanks

Maybe Jesus will come back before then. End times isnt really all about destruction, that’s already happened. Its going to be unexpected, I mean Im definitly sure humans arent going to be around that much longer IMHO, but I aint talking too short either. Just take the prederist view on this.

You have to separate the Return of Jesus from questions concerning the life of the Physical Universe…

End times Prophecy in Scriptures abound in Signs which must occur.

Although I can list them… It just may be up to you to look into that…

It doesn’t matter, because another cosmic event could come far sooner…and we, individually are likely to meet our biological demise before either…pay attention to the Gospel Reading for the 1st week in Advent, coming up on 1 DEC, and be prepared!

2 Peter 3:10 makes it clear the earth will be destroyed by fire in the end, and this seems to imply it will be the last act before the resurrection of the dead. While it may seem like , to our human logic that “the resurrection of the dead would not be possible” after such an event, but this worry circumvents the power of God.

Theology and modern science should not be discounted, but each is an academic explanation for the physical mechanics of the lifecycle of the earth, and the basis for why people might believe as they do…The answer does not lie in academia, it lies in faith.

Why would the resurrection of the dead be any more impossible if the Earth was destroyed? Our bodies “return to dust” with or without the destruction of the earth.

As to the End Times, we have been living in the end times since the death of the last apostle.

The resurrection of the dead occurs before the actual destruction of this “old” Earth

As we get closer to the actual End,
some shall know of its imminence via the Signs Jesus gave for the purpose of
so that we shall recognize its imminence

More like trillions. If God doesn’t return befor then.

The scientists make their predictions based on what might happen if the universe continues without interference.

God can do whatever He likes whenever He likes.

Yes… Creation groans for a new Creation… Awaits the Return of the Potter… !
The unfurling Signs that “things” for Humans on Earth including Earth itself indicate
that we’re very likely to be well in the 11th hour.

Science is guessing - and the “current” laws of physics apply to their guesses. Who is the Law Giver?

As well, Saint Peter wrote of the end coming when the elements will melt in the heat and flames.

What they are arguing is the timing of it all - something we are not supposed to trouble ourselves with.

We must be ready “Today”

We shan’t know the Day and Hour.

That said, Jesus gave us Signs to watch out for when the time is nigh…
