What is disturbing is seeing an ill-equipped rider on a bull…trouble

The European bull must be nothing like our American bulls!!

Well it is disturbing and certainly not the only foreboding current event that seems to tell us we are in or headed for those times. Plus we have events and societal norms that say the evil ones are really having their way these days. And the world is becoming less and less a place to raise children. Then there are modern day prophets, lots of them, foretelling the soon coming end times and all the accompanying persecutions and deprivations.

And yet, we have eternal scripture making it clear, we are to be anxious for nothing. Even in the most strifeful of times.

Some take the way of preparing, or warning and suggesting to others specifically how to prepare. Stockpile food and supplies, move to the country is a theme. But if you think it all through, if widespread crisis and lack of food were to suddenly prevail, if you stockpiled food, could you even keep it for yourself if your neighbors were starving? Not only is that immoral, but anyway it would easily be stolen if everyone were hungry, and your country hide-out taken over by a gang less-prepared to fend for themselves in crisis.

So I think the best way to prepare for crisis that is supposed to precede the return of our Lord is to learn to grow in your faith. Because its really what you will have to rely on in a crisis, and to be “not anxious” in chaos, and to hear God’s voice. And if you really hear God’s voice by learning to listen to what He wants for you day-to-day, you can be confident that He will make it clear if He wants you to do anything extraordinary.

I keep looking for the “like” button. Gotta stop spending so much time on Facebook!

In thinking about “end times”, I decided that staying in the state of grace is the most edifying thing to be done. Then come what may.🙂

Revelation refers to a harlot on a Beast, having seven heads and ten horns.

I have yet to see a critter such at that on European symbolism.
Its not an actual beast though, the 7 heads refer to 7 nations, if you notice it goes into detail about each head, the bear, the lion, the leopard, etc. we all know the ‘bear’ is Russia, the ‘lion’ is England (Europe), the leopard is Germany, etc etc.

If it truly has nothing to do with our current times, its a pretty darn big coincidence how all this lines up so well (imo anyway).

The new building design being based on the tower of babel is fascinating, first time Ive seen that, besides all this though, just looking at current headlines should tell you, we definitely are in the end times. There has never been any other time in history when so many of the signs God warned of, are happening at the same time.

But then again, God did say many people would not recognize these signs and essentially blow them off.

One of the things that has convinced me is the number of people who have seen white or gold crosses in the sky. do a search on this, its amazing how often this is reported.

The Greek word apokálypsis means to uncover or to reveal.

That is why we call it the Book of Revelation.

Yes,I perfectly understand what you are saying, but I pointed out to the other poster who was concerned about the plural on revelations and reminded them the last book of the bible is often called Apocalypse. I was not implying that it did not mean revelation but was just another name.It also does not matter if the name is plural or singular. There are other books I think that have alternative names.

Personally I do not believe the last book of the bible is about the Holy Mass, but the conclusion of this system.
The book is very difficult to interpret, and many scholars have proposed interpretations.
It was revealed to John the truth of the matter.

Dr Hahns interpretation is fairly original but does not correspond even remotely to what the early church fathers wrote.

Did you know that there is also an interpretation claiming it is describing a kundalini arousal? The rising of “christ consciousness” and other new age claims. The seven churches supposedly representing the seven nerve centers or chakras of Hinduism.
People can read anything they want into it but I tend to concur with most of the church fathers and it is describing the conclusion or consummation of this system.

I don’t think so. The European Union is a money game first. It is an artificial construct. I’ve heard the New Age claims repackaged and re-released in different forms over the decades. The New Age is the same Old Occult in a new box, with a few new lines of text.

The book is not difficult if you study and understand the Old Testament, especially the prophets - who they were, who their audience was and what their message was. Many things in Revelation then becomes somewhat obvious.

The problem is that people want to read the last part of the book but not the rest of it. Revelation is at the end for a reason. You are expected to have read and understood what came before it.

The book was placed at the end of the Holy Bible deliberately. It is depicting the end of this wicked system. Judgment day,the day of the Lord. Jesus said He will return. That is fact. ALL eyes shall see him even those who pierced Him. As the holy angels said at His ascension," He will return as He left."

I tend to concur with the early Church fathers and that Revelation is the end and the culmination of God’s plan: a new heavens and a new earth where righteousness reigns. There will be no more tears or sorrow, and even death will be destroyed.

We wait in joyful hope for the coming of our Savior,Jesus Christ.
