Since 31 March was the transferred date for The Annunciation, I thought it would be a good idea to once again bring out my copy of the Little Office the week of 30 March - 5 April. Actually, I have five different editions, but this time around I used the 1988 edition from the Catholic Book Publishing Company.
On Sunday, 30 March, I read the Office of Readings, Daytime Prayers, Compline, and Thanksgiving for Mary’s Fiat. This in addition to Morning and Evening prayer. I read Morning and Evening Prayer only the remaining six days.
I would say my favourite passage is that on page 106, the alternative reading in place of the Hymn for Friday Morning, by Bartolome de Los Rios. It is a marvelous version of total consecration to Mary as"slave and loving child".
Anyone else have a favourite passage from this book?
