I met with the Deacon today. We had a conversation and I have decided not to continue. Plan B???
Ok… could you be a little more helpful and maybe expand on that?Admiting something you struggle with to the priest, or admitting anything, or even saying anything, is not part of the scrutinies. It sounds like something your priest made up.
Your sins will be forgiven when you are Baptized.I met with the Deacon today. We had a conversation and I have decided not to continue. Plan B???
I have been Baptized…that was my concern. The Deacon suggested I was beginning to sound like an “ultra right wing conservative Catholic” which sort of stopped me in my tracks. Time for some humility on my part methinks and a period of reflection.Your sins will be forgiven when you are Baptized.
What what are you not continuing?
Have you given up preparing for your sacraments of initiation, or just within that particular parish, where it seems you’ve not being fully informed?
This response has really been bugging me, since it was so terse and didn’t offer any explanation or source. So I looked it up to benefit myself and the original poster.Admiting something you struggle with to the priest, or admitting anything, or even saying anything, is not part of the scrutinies.
