I know it is a clickbait story. I even question whether this story is true.
I have heard of hand sanitizer exploding and causing burns if you light a match near it.

The man had a gas leak and the spark caused an explosion.
I am glad he is fine and hopefully, the burns will heal.

didn’t even know they had electric fly swatters. Did he buy the swatter from Acme?
I think it is your general run of mill fly swatter that is battery powered yet they call them “electric” fly swatters on Amazon. Could be wrong on this. They do spark. It seems he should have installed carbon monoxide detectors.

This is the best story I’ve heard all year! 🤣 (and 2020 has been quite a year…). The intrigue of whether an old man can run around his house trying to swat a fly without falling and breaking his hip, or as he is madly swinging and swatting at the fly, he is knocking lamps and pictures off the wall. But no, none of that! He ends up blowing the roof off and half of his house away. And the mystery we may never know the answer to, did the fly live or die? 🤣

I’m picturing the blast causing the fly to sail away end over end like Darth Vader at the end of the first “Star Wars” movie"…it then lives to fight another day.

So, an electric fly swatter is really a hand held bug zapper? I was trying to figure out what he was using! 🤣🤣🤣. I was imagining a fly swatter that automatically goes back and forth and you just hold it over the fly…and what the point of THAT would be! 😜😲

This headline is comedic material. I’m hoping everyone is ok because my first reaction was to laugh. It reminded me of a saying some Africans are fond of: Do not respond to a mosquito bite with a hammer.
