I have always thought that Jesus was the son of God.
Now i read that God and Jesus and the holy spirit are one and the same. So if Jesus is God but in a human form who did he pray to- if he was God.
And who does he sit of at the right hand of in heaven if he is God.

Thanks if you can put me right.

Sitting at His right hand is more of a figure of speech.

Jesus is the second Person of the most Holy Trinity. There is but one God, and three divine Persons make up this One God, yet they are not seperate from each other, they are distinct from each other.

Jesus is God, He created everything.

Jesus incarnated Himself within the womb of Mary by the power of the Holy spirit. God took upon Himself the nature of man. he did not xcease from being God though. jesus, as a human, was 100% human and 100% God. The mystery of the incarnation.

Therefore he was fully man and fully God at the incarnation in Mary’s womb.

When Jesus prayed, as a human being, he prayed to God the Father, the first Person of the Most Holy trinity.

in christianity God is like a guy with a split personality. theres just one guy but in 3 persons. and these 3 persons normally converses with each other. just like Gollum in Lord of the Rings.

Not quite “one guy” but one divine nature which is infinite. Three people possess this divine nature - but they can’t possess their own divine nature, because then it wouldn’t be infinite - one would be limited by not being the other.

So, the three people possess the one divine nature completely. In his book, Theology for Beginners, Frank Sheed says that they love with the same will and know with the same intellect. It’s a great book and I recommend it.

It’s true that the 3 persons converse with each other. They are their own person with their own personalities. But they possess the same divine nature.

A bird can fly, because flying is a part of bird nature. I can raise my arm, because that is a part of human nature. But the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are everywhere for all time and are all powerful, because that is divine nature.

Only if you see the Sun, its heat, and its rays as three seperate things.

Btw God is the question. Jesus is the answer.
