Greetings and Goodwill to All
Hello fellow Catholic Answers bloggers I am relatively new to this forum. I had been thinking about the perfect way to introduce myself, then I resigned to lurking unless I founded my “inspirational first post” but here I am now. I am not quite conflicted now but I want to see the take others.
Around minutes ago my curiosity had struck me and I had searched a tragic picture, the one by a man named Kevin Carter(some of you may have heard it,since it won a prize but do not search it I do not want to responsible for shaking the faith of others). I think and then I saw another blog post that said a statement against God and I had agreed with it . I know what I did(and what now I may be brooding in my mind) was/is wrong. In fact I had rationalized that this is due to God’s gift of free will to mankind. I had read about other tragedies but seeing a photo was quite different for me, especially with the accompanying statement. Earlier I had read a post here about “suffering” and the responses here were from man’s responsibility to one another,God could’ve created a world without no sin no suffering and the gift of free will.
Among my thoughts was a statement from Gustavo Gutierrez who stated that God loved all universally but concurrently had a particular love for the poor due to their state. From another reading I had read that God was no God of “easy answers.” Typing this was quite therapeutic for me but I am quite curious for the responses here. I am sorry for you trouble and may you all have a blessed day.
