A great way to witness our Catholic faith to sports fans

I can’t wait to show this to our youth group. It is very current and shows Catholic professional baseball players witnessing their faith every day in their walk of life, and how important God is to their success!
 
Amen! So timely, since sports have long since become a form of secular religion, what with their meeting places (stadiums), regular times, scripture (rule books), “pastors” (referees), the faithful-both regulars (season ticket holders) as well as drop ins, appropriate music (we will rock you), servers (water boys, vendors), processions (onto the field) and the parallels could go on.

It’s great to see signs of the cross that actually mean something-rather than just as an aside before they attempt to pulverize their “neighbor”. If only the faithful fans could spout scripture like they do stats.
