This is gruesome, ghastly, horrific, reprehensible, chilling. … God help us. God save us. :bighanky: :gopray:

"A Gruesome Harvest
Aborted Fetuses and Their Organs

Utilitarianism has a hideous strength when it comes to medical ethics. If even a ghastly procedure can “save lives,” well, who’s to say it’s immoral?"…

Oh lovely, so now will they will be telling women they can save lives by aborting their babies.

It is utterly no different in substance than embryonic stem cell therapy. Just a difference in degree. Once the latter is socially normalized, the former will be a shoe-in.

What I don’t understand is how we’ve gone so quickly from legalizing abortion on compassionate grounds to “save young women’s lives”, to an “ethicist” saying something like this: “The first striking feature of fetal organs is that their supply…is unlimited…pregnant women who provide fetal kidneys could do so repeatedly.”

Or this: “Appel dreams of a day that scientific research may make possible farms of artificial ‘wombs’ breeding fetuses for their organs”.

Like Woody Allen once said: after the way humans turned out, God must never stop throwing up.

I can’t find a link, but this happens in my backyard, in Madison, WI!:eek::eek:

They have also been trying to get a 2nd trimester abortion facility running there; anyone see a connection??

I know trafficking in fetal parts is part of what our state pro-life group tries to bring awareness to. I don’t know why this doesn’t get more of a horrified reaction, although it’s not something one is likely to see in the news. As long as fetuses are non-persons, they will be treated like meat and fair game for scientific experimentation. Those hormone producing glands are very lucrative, for one thing.

And Catholics take communion after supporting this… Terrible.

This is a logical “next step” on the slippery slope. Perhaps this is what Pope John forsaw contraception leading to.

I have participated in the pro-life movement for a couple of years now and even though I obviously have an indepth understanding of the issue (legal and otherwise) every now and then a story comes along which takes my breath away and causes me to ask how it is even possible that we live in such a world?

The tears that Our Lady must weep over the depravity of her children.
