A had a weird experience at Mass when Altar Serving on Sunday

Last Sunday at Mass I was scheduled to Altar Serve. When I was sitting in the Sanctuary, I felt a warm imbrace - not like a “I’m going to sweat because I’m so warm” or something like that, but as if someone was hugging me. It also felt like many people were surrounding me. Why is this? Could this be the angels and the saints? God?

I had a similar experience once. I hadn’t been to confession in many years, and there was a lot that needed to be confessed. I had finally gotten the courage to take that step one cold December evening. I stayed afterwards for Mass, and while I was sitting there, I had a similar experience. Felt like a warm blanket - taken out of the dryer - and wrapped around my shoulders.

I also had a similar experience while at Adoration of the Blessed Scarament once. The best way I can think to describe it was a very warm hug. It was like Jesus was letting me know how happy He was to see me there, since before this experience, I hadn’t gone to Adoration for some time. Needless to say, I go as often as I can now.

I’d say it was the Holy Spirit and the saints and angels.
