A Healing for B.B. - Please Pray for

Dear Prayer Warriors,

Could you please keep my friend B.B. in your prayers? She just told me she went to her Gynecologist who after examining her is having the results from the swabs sent to an Oncologist to whom the Doctor has referred her. The Oncologist’s office was already closed when B.B. called to make an appointment. She must now wait to Monday. It is going to be a long two days for her and for her Dad . . . and then the wait for the appointment.

Please pray for B.B. that she does not have cancer (she has been crying), that whatever is wrong be healed and for Our Lord to grant her full health from her other ailments. Also please keep her 13-year-old son and her Dad in your prayers.

I asked her if I could ask my friends for prayers and she lit up telling me she accepts her other illnesses and prayers never hurt.

O merciful Father,
Who have wonderfully fashioned man in Your own image,
and have made his body to be a temple of the Holy Spirit,
sanctify, we pray You, our doctors and nurses and all those whom you have called to
…study and practice the arts of healing the sick and the prevention of disease and pain.
Strengthen them in body and soul,
and bless their work,
that they may give comfort to those for whose salvation Your Son became Man,
lived on this earth, healed the sick,
and suffered and died on the Cross.

You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into B.B’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular (B.B.), and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity.
