A healthy family is one that communicates effectively and without any problems. Throughout my life, I have had a close relationship with my family and I must admit that because of the dangers of this world, we have had ups and downs.

What I realize that is important is to maintain the unity and peace amoung us. That’s why I must assure that I ventilate all sorts of feelings and assure that they know things that I really want them to know.

There is nothing more important than helping my brothers with their homework whenever possible and making sure that their personal space is well respected. At times I joke around whenever things get bored or tiring but one thing that I always do is to forgive.

We must be able to forgive or have that special grace in order to assure that our familys are peaceful and harmonized. So I was wandering what kinds of things you guys do in order to establish the warmth is your homes? Or more like, what keeps your guys familys together?

Whenever you guys encounter stress or difficulites what do you guys do?

P.S. I like hearing advice as to stregnthen or consolidate even more my relationship with my family. Thank you for all of your attention.😃

May God continue to bless you and your family with spiritual, mental, and emotional health and authentic mutual love.
Living thus within your family of origin bodes well for you family relationships, your community relationships, as your lives unfold.

Honestly, number 1 thing for us is humour. We just try not to take evrything too seriously and let it develop into drama.

Not too long ago I was catching up with our spiritual director and I was telling him about our big financial problems, stressful decision-making process, childrens’ illnesses etc and he was looking really worried so I quickly added laughing “it’s not that bad, the kids are happy, we’re happy, just pray we overcome these challenges”. He seemed very perplexed.

The truth of the matter is though that our little ones had no idea about the big issues in our lives and they were just going about being their happy, sweet, chubby, cute selves which already is enough cure for anything, but we were also often making light of it trying to figure out the next thing that could go wrong and how much more bankrupt the business could get etc. And, to add to it, we were also in an unending period of abstinence as I was nursing and NFP just wasn’t working for us. We had a millions inside jokes with that one, especially since people see us with 3 little ones and like to insinuate about how much we looove “making” babies!

I think the great reason why we can keep on smiling through these trials is the trust we have iin God who has NEVER let us down. We were down, yes, but He never left us there. And all along we knew things will pick up again.

Gratitude is also something that enriches our lives no matter what the circumstances. We truly feel extremely blessed for the lives we have and for the graces we’ve been given and for each day’s miracles and we tey to instill that in our children. Being aware of your blessings brings joy and peace and definitely keeps us close!

Thank you all for your responses. I do believe humour can really help to strengthen our families. Thank you again for sharing and participating. Blessings.🙂
