i am reading I wait for You - Jesus’ lament over man’s indifference
which is excerpts from sister josefa menendez’s conversations with Jesus.

one of the main laments of jesus is that he is left alone in the tabernacle endlessly. we don’t visit him often enough. he compares it to his prison cell where the soldiers mocked and insulted him. our busy schedules don’t leave much time for Jesus. “if they would thus unite themselves to Me (Jesus), with what peace would they face difficulties”

but Jesus also gives us kudos (some of us anyways)
and understand well, you who form the court of the Immaculate Lamb, that the glory you give me surpasses imcomparably that of the angelic spirits; for they have never experienced the frailties of human nature, and have neither to struggle nor to conquer in order to remain pure.
isn’t that beautiful?

he also says
“O! if you could but see the beauty of a soul in grace. but such beauty is invisible to mortal eyes, Josefa. look rather with eyes of faith, and realizing the value of souls, consecrate yourself to giving this glory to the Blessed Trinity, by gaining many souls in which the Triune God may find a dwelling.”
Jesus continued instructing her in very simple language: “every soul can be instrumental in this sublime work… Nothing great is required, the smallest acts suffice: a step taken, a straw picked up, a glance restrained, a service rendered, a cordial smile… all these offered to Love are in reality of great profit to souls and draw down floods of grace on them. No need to remind you of the fruits of prayer, or sacrifice…”
things we all should know, but as Jesus said, our life gets in the way of offering him a dwelling place in our soul.

😊 I know I find way too many excuses for not being with Christ in the tabernacle. And the excuses are often very flimsy self centered. Distractions are everywhere and we are often not strong in turning away from them. 😦

I hope we can expect some more of her writings. 🙂

http://www.pctuner.net/forum/images/smilies/sisi.gif Ya, that hit me as well.

I found this website about Sister Josefa.
Two quotes from the site:
“Come all of you to Me and fear not, for I Love you all… I will wash you in My Blood and you shall be made whiter than snow. All of your offences will be submerged in the waters in which I myself shall wash you, nor shall anything whatsoever be able to tear from My Heart its Love for you.”
and
“A little act of generosity, of patience, of poverty…may become a treasure that will win a great number of souls to My Heart.”

Can you direct me to Church documents which show her revelations are approved because so far I can’t find anything which says the Church has given approval for Sister Josefa’s messages.

What booklet? Cardinals and even Popes often speak in their private capacity.
Approvals for messages/revelations are given by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. Does your booklet contain an official declaration by the CDF?

Sr. Josefa Menendez’ cause for canonization has been presented to Rome. Apparently it has stalled somewhere along the way.
rscj.org is the website for the religious order she belonged to.
