Ok. Sounds like it is just a preference that I should let go of. This situation was new to me and I never thought about this in the past. Thinking about this and discussing this with my husband shows no end in sight. It has given me headaches these past couple of days!
I read your other thread and it shed new light on the situation.
I hate to put words in your mouth, but as I understand it, what is
really bothering you is not so much that he went/has gone out with a couple without you, but rather that you are
consistently being left out and not getting much of his attention at all.
This drastically changes my answer.
To be clear: I
still don’t see any problem whatever with a husband having a night out with a couple, or a wife having a night out with a couple, while the other spouse watches the kids or does something else. I don’t see
anything wrong with that, not even in the slightest.
But here, it sounds like we’re talking about something different altogether. It sounds like you’re saying (in the other thread) that your husband is not allowing you to get any socialization, and you aren’t spending much (if any) time with him. If so, this is a terribly serious matter and I would highly recommend marital counseling.
