Hey ya’ll,

Does Jesus ever say in the Bible, “I never said it would be easy…only that it would be worth it.”

Or something similiar to that in the Bible.

Thanks in advance

Not that I know of. I think that’s one of those inspirational messages. As a matter of fact, I think its one of the signatures of a poster on these threads, although I can’t be sure.

Appended: I found it. Zemi uses it as their signature. You can PM him/her and maybe you’ll find out where it originated:

Hi, pac!

…there is a Biblical passage that speaks on this vein:

13 'Enter by the narrow gate, since the road that leads to destruction is wide and spacious, and many take it; 14 but it is a narrow gate and a hard road that leads to life, and only a few find it. (St. Matthew 7:13-14)

Maran atha!

Matt 5:11-12

11 Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of evil against you (falsely) because of me.

12 Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven. Thus they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

These are similiar.

Then Jesus said to his disciples, "Whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. What profit would there be for one to gain the whole world and forfeit his life? Or what can one give in exchange for his life? For the Son of Man will come with his angels in his Father’s glory, and then he will repay everyone according to his conduct. (Mt 16:24-27)

Then they will hand you over to persecution, and they will kill you. You will be hated by all nations because of my name. And then many will be led into sin; they will betray and hate one another. Many false prophets will arise and deceive many; and because of the increase of evildoing, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who perseveres to the end will be saved. (Mt 24:9-13)

Very beautifully put ryanoneil, I’d like to call Mt 16, the gospel in a kernel. 🙂
