I thought this was really sweet. It seems that, while chivalry may be dead in society, Catholics at least seemingly try to keep it alive and well
Of course - and guess what, women love food too. What they don’t love is if they’re expected to do all the cooking or cleaning. What they also dont love is when the eating reaches an unhealthy level, especially because we are more.judged by our looks and our weight than men.I will second the note that men like food. Women might find it odd that men can be completely happy with a pan of brownies (without the fork even). Pure, unadulterated joy can be given to a man with just simple, but good food.
We men are weird, I know.
I don’t find it odd. If someone gave me a whole pan of brownies to eat and I didn’t have to worry about gaining any weight eating them, I’d be thrilled to pieces. I would however ask for milk.Women might find it odd that men can be completely happy with a pan of brownies (without the fork even).
When you see that, it’s intended to indicate that either the movie is set in 1970s or before, or the characters are poor, or perhaps are living in a rustic cabin in the woods somewhere. In American movies people are normally depicted washing dishes manually rather than putting them in the washing machine
My mother constantly said that the main point of being married was for each of us to help the other to get to heaven. But if a wife’s most important job is to get her husband to heaven, should his be to get her there as well? No mention of that anywhere…
