I’m thinking of trying one. We have been using Dyson and while the suction is great, the vacuum hardware and attachments are poorly made mechanically and are way overpriced, and the dust tank fills up every time I do half a room (especially since my cats shed hair). Dyson engineers seem to think everyone lives in a tiny flat instead of houses with big rooms.

May be time for some German engineering…

Edited to add, my proposed addition to the list for husbands is, when your wife asks you to please go buy a new vacuum for the house, get one with a retractable cord. About three vacuums ago the husband for some unknown reason bought one without this basic feature and I could not understand why any man in his right mind would buy such a thing, especially an engineer.

We’ve had a Miele for at least 10 years and it’s worked flawlessly. Definitely a good investment.

You get bags but they don’t fill up very quickly. We have hardwood floors so that might affect bag changes :man_shrugging:t2:
