A marriage question - is Cana forever?

If a couple is married and one of them dies, and the remaining spouse remarries, what happens in Heaven should all parties make it there?

I thought Cana was forever, and the couple would still be married in Heaven? I don’t believe when one spouse dies the remaining spouse is no longer married?
 
Jesus answered this one in the Gospels. Go back and read the scriptures. Marriage is a relationship only in this world. It does not extend into the next.

Thanks - Seems clear enough, however suppose in one of the marriages the couple had children?

I don’t think the point of the story was whether or not she had children, but rather, she had been married 7 times, and will not be married in Heaven.
 
If we are not married in heaven it would make sense that we don’t have children in heaven either. Why worry about it, we can’t comprehend what heaven will be like.
 
The problem seems to be when we try to define heaven. We are earthly creatures (for now ;)) and when we get to heaven we will understand. The church is the bride of Christ… we will all be there (hopefully) and our attention will not be on our earthly spouses. As much as I love my husband, this cannot even come close to the feelings of being one with God. Our little minds can only see as far as marriage in the depths of relationships… with God, he promises us something much more.
 
As wonderful as the marriage bond is, it can’t hold a candle to the union that will exist in heaven between people who may even have been perfect strangers in this life. Being perfectly bonded in the love of Christ simply supercedes anything we’ve been able to achieve on earth.
