Five years ago I was asked to leave school. So I have been doing online courses, and now I am struggling to volunteer because of COVID.

I eventually completed my schooling, but I am in an ethical dilemma as to whether I should accept my university offer and whether I will have a good conscience… I haven’t slept in weeks and years because of my medical condition (which I cannot ask advice for, because we are not doctors).

I was accepted to a language and culture degree.

Please give me the best advice that you can suffer.

Please don’t take this as legal advice, as I am not a lawyer, but if you have completed your schooling, I can’t see any ethical problem in accepting a university offer. I am assuming you are in the United States. In the US, universities now accept many alternate routes to completion of secondary education (GED, homeschooling, distance learning, continuation schools, etc.). Other countries might have different laws.

I don’t see any question of sin here, but my best advice would be, to schedule a meeting with a priest, and discuss what you’ve discussed here. Be at peace.

Congratulations for all that you’ve achieved in the last 5 years with your online courses.

That you have, is a testament to your determination and courage. Whatever doubts you have, I salute you for those hard-won achievements, and will pray that whatever you decide to do, on the advice suggested, that you will continue to do well …

and that, please God, those issues that make life more challenging for you, will become less difficult. I remember you of course, from your posts before CAF was closed.
Best wishes to you.

Zerg speak with your university counselors. They are the best people to give you advise you need to successfully begin and complete your course. Congratulations for acceptance into the degree.
We are all struggling with different aspects of our lives due to Covid. All pandemics historically have ended or become something less worrisome, there is no reason to think this one wont.

Do not be dead set on a particular vocation. It may be revealed to you that God has a different intent for your life. It may not. The entire world is going through physical and spiritual convulsions right now. You are in good company. As long as your work does not violate your conscience or the teaching of the Church, accept what comes your way, but be aware that other opportunities may not be coincidental or accidental.

I would pray to the Holy Spirit for the virtues of prudence and discernment.
