A member's sudden loss of her husband

Please join me in prayer for one of our CAF members, who PM’d me to say that her husband has suddenly died.
They were are closely united couple, with creative shared interests and deep religious convictions.
He had not received the tests and care he needed despite consulting his doctor…doctors are human also of course…but she need not have lost him, so please pray that she can cope with this cruel realization. He did, praise God, receive all the spiritual care and blessing a Catholic hopes for.

Loving Father please hold our friend deep in Your heart and continue to bless her abundantly.
Help her to wonderfully complete the project for Your honor and for others’ blessing that she and her husband worked so closely to complete for You and in You.
I pray in the name of You beloved Son Jesus.

Mother Mary who grieved the loss of your precious Son, pray for her and for all who are grieving as she is now.

Lord, please welcome this departed husband into the eternal banquet of joy, where he might ever sup with the angels and saints with you in eternity. Touch this wife with your all-healing hand and have mercy on her heart, that she might somehow through this and all times receive your graces and still exhibit faith, hope, love, joy, courage, wisdom, and understanding. Grant her many “Simons” to help her carry her crosses, just as you had Simon help you carry yours on the way to Calvary. Have mercy, Lord, and lead this woman and all her family and friends ever toward the eternal garden, that they might all rejoice with you, the angels, and saints, forever. Our Lady, angels, and saints, pray with us. Amen.

For Help in Trials

Most holy apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular (Trishie’s friend), and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. Amen.

**Prayer for the grieving **

Father of all mercies and God of consolation, You love us eternally and transform the shadows of death into the dawn of life. Look upon this CAF member’s grief; be her refuge and comfort so that her sadness and sorrow may turn into the light and peace of Your Presence. In dying, Your Son destroyed death; in rising, He restored life. Grant that at the end of our earthly pilgrimage we may be found in His company with our brothers and sisters. There, You shall wipe away every tear. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Hail Holy Queen,
Mother of mercy,
Our life, our sweetness, and our hope.
To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve.

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!
