A Ministry Denied

]]=TheSpiritHeals;8747389]A Catholic parishioner asked the leaders of his church if they would support a new ministry in the church. He proposed starting a Dialogue Ministry which would meet once a week and learn how to share the Catholic faith and how to answer questions from non-Catholics.
The weekly Dialogue Ministry training would begin and end with a number of minutes of prayer. The response was that the church had enough ministries and the ministries should concentrate on the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of those in the parish.

The parishioner now wants to move to another parish. Should he move?

WAS IT THE PASTOR HIMSELF that denied it? If so; MOVE ON! And pray for him.

If Not the pastor, then take it to the Pastor and request taking it to the Parish Council WHICHTHE PASTOR CAN rightly over-rule.

The reason given by the priest for not adding a new ministry was because the current ministries were already understaffed.

Leaving doesn’t solve the problem.

Also, I don’t see anything very urgent about a class on how to argue with Protestants. It could even end up being counterproductive, if the participants in the class then go around looking for Protestants to argue with, and end up out of their depth in the arguments.

Maybe said parishioner should start out a bit smaller. For example, the parishioner could ask the priest if he/she could speak to the church after Mass when annulments are read, and possibly offer a few minutes on the subject. Maybe do this twice a month and teach the whole parish how to talk to other faiths. Then, if it catches on he may give you the opportunity to let it develop.

lol. To be honest i did get a little chuckle from the question mark.

I laughed out loud reading the annulments (announcements no doubt) Reminds me of something I would do - just a brain phart
