Dear friends in Christ;

Is is possible that Satan can cause a non-Catholic-Christian conversion through a miracle of healing?

In recent weeks I have heard of two such miracle = conversion stories

Thanks for your impute

What do you mean? Satan taking someone from the Catholic church to a protestant church through healing? Considering that salvation is still very much possible in Protestantism, that doesent make sense… Satan wants no salvation, so IMO he would have taken them to satanism, or some new age bs.

So a conversion to a non-Catholic Christian denomination from unbelief?

From one to the other, by way of showing his existence and performing a miracle of healing? Yes ofcourse it’s ‘possible’.

But as implied by the other comment, you’d have reason to be suspicious of the motive.

No, no:slightly_smiling_face:

A conversion from either an agnostic or a atheist life to through a miracle of a health related issue to become a “Christian” [not a Catholic].

I asked because we KNOW & have the One True Faith and Church instituted by God. So WHY would GOD perform a miracle that leads on to a Christian faith?

Thanks for asking

Not sure I would use that particular word. “suspicious”; even though that nails it. But more as curiosity.

Thanks

I was a cradle-Catholic but left the faith early on, becoming Protestant several years later. In between I was granted a profound experience/revelation of God: a no-holds-barred, knock your socks off kind of thing. While this certainly helped strengthen the already established faith I had, it didn’t return me to the doors of the Catholic Church; like I said I actually began attending a Protestant church later. But I did return to the CC in the end, 25 or more years after leaving it.

Maybe the people you heard about will eventually do the same. As it is they have entered the CC already, just imperfectly-a step nearer to the truth that they seek, and nearer than they were to begin with in any case. And God honors that faith.

The two cases I know about both were either agnostics or atheists.

Yes, I understand-they’re Protestant now. The main question, as I understood it, was whether or not God would allow a miracle even though it didn’t result in them becoming Catholic?

Protestant is much closer than nothing to He who is the source of All.

God is patient and knows the full view of things.

But now, to the question, Satan can do healing miracles, it is possible this is what was going on with Rasputin, but it depends on the scale of the healing miracle.

But would Satan want them to convert from agnosticism/ atheism to Protestantism? Can’t believe he would.
