I’ve never had the Mormons but the JW’s have come by more than once. They want to give me a copy of “Watchtower” or “Awake!” their magazines. I act like I’m flattered but I’m always quick to tell them I feel so overwhelmed by their generosity that the least I could do is to offer them a rosary in return.

At that point they just put their heads down, refuse the offer and leave. Works every time.

😃 Wow that is great I wish I was a fly on the wall at your house. I never tried that one.

Great! When they offer me the Watchtower and like to tell them that there is a lot of misleading items about what Catholics believe in there. That always gets the conversation going.

But, I will keep in mind what you did with offering a Rosary, because sometimes it is difficult to get them to be quiet and go away.

I love it. Once, when the Mormons were particularly active in our street I watched where they parked. After they left my house and went down the street, I ran outside and put an Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Vocations prayer card under their windshield wipers. My kids looked out the window and saw them in their front seat, praying for new priests to the order. Bless their hearts! 🙂
