There might be a few things to be said indeed!!
Starting with the fact that a number of leaders of those Islamic countries received some training in Communism, at a time when it proved to be as anti-human as anti-religion. Which makes me think it really doesn’t have so much to do with Islam per se, except for certain perceptions about it that just would fit their plans…

Are you saying that it couldn’t be Islam because the true Islam has not really been tried?

Firstly, I’m talking now, 2009.

Secondly, the majority of persecuted people in the world are in Islamic dominated countries.

Thirdly, if you have a world map in front of you, with a red dot of all the trouble spots in the world, then you removed all the red dots associated with Islam, the world would be comparatively peaceful.

Finally, at any period in history from the 7th Century, I can still provide more who were being actively persecuted by Islam. AND Islam is not a religion, it encompasses far more than a religion and actually the religious component is a minor factor in the Islamic ideology. It is a geo-political/civilisation ideology with a thin veneer of religion.

**catholicRevert1, I am ready to believe you that Da Vinci Code is a book of fiction. That is if you also believe that the reports about the prophets marriage with a girl age 6 is also fiction. That is not true report. Our bible (Hadith) is as bad as your bible which was written by some sinful (sinner) persons. So there is no need to believe what is being told from the books of Hadith. If you believe that to be true then you should believe the other report too.

Some one had taken a lot of trouble in unravelling the secrets of christianity in the Da Vinci Code. If you ignore them as false and fiction then believe that those reports about the marriage of the prophet are also false and fiction. Thanks. Do not have your stuff greased on both sides.

If you agree then I will not bother you with any other marriages of Jesus.**.

I hope you are JOKING! Most Muslims will admit he married her when she was SIX what a pity you cannot open your mind and admit it. Think about a six year old - they do not even have adult teeth! If you had a 6 year old daughter would you marry her off to a 54 year old man and how would you feel if a 54 year old man got turned on by your crawling baby? The Da Vinci Code is fiction - even the author says so. As for your other comments they have already been answered in this thread.

Ah, the master of illogical thinking. These two issues are unrelated, therefore believing one cannot be a condition for believing the other. Period.

Do you personally know many Muslims who marry their wife when she is only 6? Or do you refer to some ceremony where the parents arrange a marriage between the son of the first party to the daughter of the second party?

Lapell, that discussion would be about mohammed marrying aisha when she was six not muslims in general although it does still happen in muslim countries. 🙂

It suffices to me that planten believes that hadith to be a lie.
Even though if I were him, I wouldn’t liken the hadiths to our Bible if the hadiths are lies! That our Bible would be made of lies you DON’T know, planten.

Lets just say it happens more often than any of them would admit. They blame “culture” but all those “cultures” have one thing in common…mohammed and islam. 🤷

Like that (was it) a father-in-law of a 9-year old girl who made her pregnant with twins, and they were aborted. Supposedly they were Catholics, but obviously faith had little to do with it, very far from it!

Hi Lapell! Do you still not understand that Muhammad is the perfect example for Muslims and that they are to emulate him in everything? Thus if Muhammad married a 6 year old and had sex with her when she was 9, it’s okay for other Muslims to do.

** Lapell, not all hadith are lies. Similarly not all bible is true. Only 20% of bible may be true.

Lapell, this post is not actually intended for you. So please allow it, as it is, for some Catholics only.

I do believe that Hadith to be a lie. What harm is there? It is not true. Similarly there are reports of prophets in the bibleOT misbehaving with their own daughters or a son of Jacob (Yehuda?) who had sex with his own daughter in law and produced illegitimate children who were the ancestors of King David and Jesus, all those reports must be wrong.

Why can’t you people understand those things. Is it necessary that we believe such bad things. And what is your special interest in maligning the prophet in foul reports even if they are written some where. The other reports about the illegitimate ancestors of Jesus are also written in the bibles. What would you say? Would you believe them as true?

if you would not believe them then I also do not believe the things about prophet as true. Now I can leave the Da Vinci Code alone and present to you a few things from the bible. I hope you will read the bibleOT where the incident of sex is mentioned about Yehuda with his daughter-in-Law and the names of the children produced is also written there and those names appear in bibleNT in the geneology of King David and Jesus.

It was my humble request not to chase the dirty matter which is quite un-necessary. I have a lot more things about Jesus direct from the bibleNT. Quite Objectioanble.

No, it happens frequently in Islamic majority countries. Possibly many people here do not keep up with the news on this issue as it’s not publicised, but the news is there.

There are also scholars of Islam justifying this. Memri TV is an excellent source for these “scholars”.

It is a very common occurrence. One scholar justified it as a form of “child care” - a man will look after your baby girl as you are unable to, but with marriage rights - sexually abusing the baby girl until the age of 9 when full vaginal penetration is allowed. The term commonly used is “thighing”, Lapell - I’m sure you can work that one out.

Okay, here’s a number to match.

Only .08% of 1% of the qur’an is religious.

I heard this in a Paltalk voice chat room. LOL. I asked for the source, but they didn’t notice. I haven’t followed it up.
