I was told today by my coworker who usually makes jokes about the fact that I am practicing Catholic, that she is going to be her best friends daughters Godmother. Maybe I should not let this bother me, and of course I am going to pray for her and the child. My question is what others have done in this situation. My coworker does not practice the faith, she was raised Catholic but attended a baptist church for the past six years. She attends mass on Christmas and Easter, because her family makes her, and now she is accepting the responsibility of Godmother. Can anyone recommend a good book that I can pass on to her about her responsibilities and about the faith? My coworker is only 22, so she will obviously still do some growing 🙂 and maybe this blessing will help her grow in the faith 🙂

Thank you in advance for any advice :)!

Bump!

I don’t have much advice, I’m afraid. I suppose there’s no chance of getting to know the baby’s mother and apprising her of the situation? Giving the young lady a book would be a good move, at any rate.
