A past mortal sin....am I forgiven?

Hello I am new to this site and I have been struggling with this for the past 22 yrs. I had an abortion when I was a teenager and at the time I was just very scared and confused. I have regretted that decision every day of my life.

I have not gone to confession for a very long time because I feel so ashamed, however I pray to God all the time about it. Is it too late for me to go to confession about this and will I be forgiven?
