This is similar to the accusation leveled at Catholics by secularists and others of being “homophobes.” It’s simply abusing the English language in attempt to smear a party with whom you disagree. Such language is ultimately useless in rational discourse.

If you’ve had long experience of anti-missionary work, I’ve had long, long experience of hard-line Jew-haters on the Internet (StormFront, etc) - especially before people took things like board moderation seriously.

So, I know what I’m doing, honest. 😉

They’re a bit of a joke themselves though, half of the website is devoted to conspiracy theories and the other half is devoted to men talking about their firearms.

I’m talking a decade ago when Holocaust denial was all the rage.

We used to joke with them about their avatars - pictures of guys who made Schwarzenegger look like a wimp and women who were pure Nazi-kitsch porn. You knew that it was some sad, pathetic guy typing his hate and fantasies with a box of tissues by his keyboard.

Some of them were real nasties though - especially some of the Europeans and South Africans.

Oh yeah they still say (and threaten) some really nasty things, terrible. Thankfully I know most of them, as you say, are just writing out their fantasies because they haven’t got the stones to carry them out. Wasn’t there a U.S politician caught on that site? And something about an invasion of the Dominican Republic?

Regardless, the bitchiness and backbiting that goes on at Stormfront is entertaining to say the least.

There were other boards as well, ones where you wouldn’t go without going through a ‘ghost’ server. [shudder]

I can’t imagine the kind of stuff you must have come across. The public sites that I’ve seen are bad enough, I dread to think what they plan on the ‘‘secret’’ sites.

All those with a far-right political bent should not be held responsible for the “militant” activities of a few white nationalists, any more than all Christians should be held accountable for the activities of the Westborough (sp?) Baptist Church.

There are just as many if not more peaceable, intelligent, non-hating people on Stormfront as there are hate-filled extremists. Just because you disagree with some of their opinions, whether it’s the historical revisionism or the science of race or whatever, doesn’t make it okay to smear them all with blanket accusations.

And, it goes without saying, that anyone reading this can either affirm of invalidate these accusations themselves by typing stormfront.org into their browser. It’s an accessible forum just like any other, and you can’t honestly expect a thinking person to accept your vitriol at face value.

Opponents of racism who post there but often get banned quite quickly.

AND

Members of other racial seperatist groups who post to show their support of segregation.

I apologise if I have missed anyone out (though I hope there aren’t too many SF members on CAF)

In addition, there are: members who identify as white nationalists, and are neither hate-filled nor masking their hate.

Seriously, the kind of stuff you are saying is akin to the accusation that all Christians are homophobic bigots, or are masking their homophobia with religion. As a Catholic, I am surprised that you could so easily fall into the same trap used against you and your religion.
