A prayer for a dear friend far gone - please help

I’m new to these forums and was so glad to find this particular forum- for I have a particular friend in need of much spiritual help.

At one time in our lives, one would have said we were very much alike - but not now.

She has recently had an abortion, which broke my heart as I begged her not to. And she has also been working in the sex industry for some time now and looks to continue this.

I pray daily for her conversion and change of heart but could really use more prayers for her.

She has no family of other friends to pray for her that are of my mind - they all support her current lifestyle.

She is such a beautiful person really - please join me in prayer for her.

Dear Father please reclaim your daughter from her life that is far from gospel teachings.
I ask this in Jesus’ name.

Jesus, as You forgave and healed, and granted conversion and disciplehood to Mary of Magdala who was a prostitute before she become a saint, please claim and heal and forgive, and give repentance and new life to Anne Shirley’s friend.

Another Thread reminded me of this powerful Prayer you might also pray for your friend every day. If someone is involved in sex industry type work, you know who probably isn’t too far away…Recruit St Michael in this fight to help her…

Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.

and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -

Your loving child, Anne Shirley, is very concerned about her friend who is heading down a path away from your love and away from the light of your beloved Son. She lifts up the intentions for her friend, that she might turn away from the ways of the world and return to you, O Lord. Today, we pray Psalm 51 on behalf of Anne Shirley’s friend. Dear Lord, we ask that you might send the call of your Holy Spirit to Anne’s friend and help her to turn back towards you and hear your call and feel your unconditional love. We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, the Good Shepherd who will find your lost sheep and bring them home.

Psalm 51

Have mercy on me, God, in your goodness;
in your abundant compassion blot out my offense.
Wash away all my guilt;
from my sin cleanse me.

Thank you so much everyone - you won’t believe this but my friend for whom we are all praying finally answered my phone call for the first time in months. We talked for over an hour and though she hasn’t yet had a change of heart in general, she admitted that some of her current friends probably weren’t very good for her to be around and agreed to come visit me for the first time in years. Her mother raised her in the Catholic faith and while she’s here perhaps I can sneak in some reason to go by church so that she can meet and talk with Father or Sister. She still has a long way to go - but I truly believe your prayers are helping! God bless you all and keep praying! :blessyou:

Good for you Anne. You’re a great friend and postitive influence…Don’t forget to keep saying the St Michael prayer for your friend. It’s a very powerful prayer and one to protect her…
